Sr. Leaders Program

WHAT WE DO

Art

Our Sr. Leaders love the artwork! The students enjoy self-expression through their artwork. The busy students will experience the use of clay, paint, shaving cream, crayons, markers, and much more! The introduction of the history of arts to the latest graphic art will be the stepping stone of their interest in the world of art.

Writing

Begining writing takes place in this classroom as a daily routine. Skills to develop fine motor skills are an important piece of our curriculum A huge transition takes place in this classroom from the beginning of the year to the end of the year. Sr. Leaders develop an understanding of the letter recognition and will be able to write by the end of the school year.

Music and movements

As part of our curriculum, music is always played in the classroom. Understanding that music is a big part of our daily routine, we encourage our students to listen to all different types of music. From children’s songs, classical to contemporary music. Of course with music, there will always be dancing!!

Science

Sr. Leaders have inquisitive minds that seek to know. Our new curriculum, “C4 everyday learning” introduces the students to simple science which includes, life cycles, simple science experiments, chemical reactions and much more!

Reading

Begining reading begins in the classroom. Sr. Leaders are introduced to letter sounds and simple sight words with our advanced curriculum. Teachers continue building communication skills with the students by multiple readings of stories throughout the day.

Language

As part of our Global Learning program. Our students are introduced to Spanish, Korean, Mandarin and sign language. The classes are scheduled once a week.

Outdoor Play

Students play outdoor both morning and in the afternoon for at least 45minutes each. All of the playground types of equipment are age-appropriate and carefully monitored by our teachers.
